Welcome Message

On behalf of the Organizing and Program Committee, we would like to welcome you to the 2024 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, which will be held from October 6th to 10th at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

The Conference comes to Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia for the first time in its history. The 2024 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (IEEE SMC 2024) is the flagship conference of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society. It provides an international forum for researchers, educators and practitioners to learn, share knowledge, report the most recent innovations and developments, and exchange ideas and advances in all aspects of systems science and engineering, human-machine systems, and cybernetics.

This year the conference received 1551 total submissions (incl. regular and special session papers, special session as well as tutorial and workshop proposals) from 54 different countries. IEEE SMC Editorial Board and the International Program Committee performed a rigorous peer review process that resulted in 936 papers being accepted, which will appear in the proceedings. Moreover, 5 tutorials and 3 workshops will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024. The conference program includes six keynote speeches and President Founder’s Forum covering topics such as artificial intelligence, deep learning and telepresence in future space missions, and twelve parallel tracks of technical sessions. In addition, IEEE SMC 2024 also includes the 16th BMI Workshop and related BR41N.IO Designers' Hackathon. Following the tradition of past IEEE SMC conferences, two best paper awards will be presented: the Best Conference Paper Award and the Best Student Paper Award.
